This Rio born trumpet and flugelhorn player has been on the US jazz scene since the 1970s. Claudio integrates post-bop elements and Brazilian rhythmic concepts with ease and plays with power and lyricism. A Grammy nominee, he has recorded a dozen albums as a leader, and has performed with Herbie Mann, Paquito D’Rivera, Dizzy Gillespie, Duduka Da Fonseca, and many others.
