Pianist Alan Broadbent with Don Falzone - bass, Thomas Wendt - drums
April 19, 2013 | 7:30pm to 9:30pm
  • Alan Broadbent

Pianist and Grammy-winning arranger Alan Broadbent has long been a major force in jazz. His long resume of accomplishments includes accompanying Irene Kral on her exquisite vocal albums, contributing arrangements to Natalie Cole, playing piano with Charlie Haden's Quartet West, and many recordings under his own name. A New Zealand native, Alan moved to the US and gained initial recognition with the Woody Herman Orchestra, and ultimately landed in LA where his career flourished. Recently Mr. Broadbent has made Nyack his home base, from which he tours regularly. We eagerly look forward to hearing what he and the great bassist Don Falzone have in store for us, since their earlier October date was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. In addition Thomas Wendt will be featured on drums.
